Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, commonly known as Epsom Salt, is a white crystalline powder with the chemical formula MgSO₄·7H₂O. It is widely used in agriculture as a fertilizer to correct magnesium deficiencies in soil, in medicine as a laxative and muscle relaxant, and in various industrial applications such as paper and textile manufacturing.
