Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid with a slightly sweet taste. It is miscible with water, alcohols, and many organic compounds, and has the formula C₂H₆O₂. MEG is the most important of the commercially available ethylene glycols and has many industrial applications.

Typical applications include antifreeze in automotive and industrial cooling systems, production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), manufacture of resins and plastics, hydraulic fluids and De-icing solutions. It is supplied as industrial grade for general process and manufacturing duty, ≥99.5%. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses when handling. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes. In case of spills, contain and clean up immediately, disposing of waste in accordance with local regulations.
