p-Dichlorobenzene is a chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbon widely used as a deodorizer, fumigant, and intermediate in the production of dyes, resins, and other chemicals. It is a colorless or white crystalline solid with a mothball-like odor.

Typical applications include deodorizer in urinal blocks and toilet fresheners, moth repellent in mothballs, insecticidal fumigant in controlled environments, intermediate in dye manufacturing and hard surface cleaner and disinfectant manufacture.
