Sodium Gluconate is the sodium salt of gluconic acid, commonly used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor in cooling water systems. It is also utilized as a chelating agent in textile dyeing, printing, and metal surface treatments. The compound appears as a white crystalline powder that is very soluble in water.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from incompatible materials such as strong oxidizing agents. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling. In case of spills, contain and collect the material, then dispose of according to local regulations.
