Sodium metabisulfite food grade is a white crystalline powder commonly used as a food additive for its antioxidant and preservative properties. It helps prevent spoilage and discoloration in food products. This product is supplied by Aditya Birla Chemicals under the brand name BIRLASULF-SM and is certified halal by the Central Islamic Council of Thailand.

Delivery covers Nakuru, Kiambu, Machakos, Nyeri, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia (Kitale), Kilifi and Narok and the rest of Kenya, with regular export shipments to Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and eastern DR Congo.
