Triethylamine is a tertiary amine with the chemical formula C6H15N. It appears as a clear, colorless liquid with a strong ammonia-like odor. It is commonly used as a base in organic synthesis and as a catalyst in various chemical reactions.

Typical applications include organic synthesis, catalyst in chemical reactions, solvent in chemical processes, cosmetic cream, lotion and balm manufacture and personal care and toiletry formulation. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Keep container tightly closed. Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting equipment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. In case of fire: Use dry sand, dry chemical, or alcohol-resistant foam for extinction.
