Xylene is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor, commonly used as a solvent in the printing, rubber, and leather industries. It is also utilized in the manufacture of isophthalic acid, which is used as a copolymer to alter the properties of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), making PET more suitable for the manufacture of soft drink bottles.

Typical applications include solvent in printing, rubber, and leather industries, manufacture of isophthalic acid for PET copolymerization, dye and paint production, insecticide formulation and sterilization of certain materials. It is supplied as technical grade for industrial process duty, ≥98%. Xylene is available in Drums, Bulk containers, ISO tanks, and we repack to suit your handling setup. Every delivery carries the manufacturer Certificate of Analysis for the batch supplied together with a full Safety Data Sheet, and lot numbers stay traceable to the manufacturing run.

Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and safety goggles, when handling. In case of spills, ventilate the area and remove all ignition sources. Absorb spills with inert material and place in a chemical waste container.
